As a previous participant, I remember having a bit of anxiety about what I was about to experience during my first workshop. The fantasies of being naked in front of a group of total strangers was a bit intimidating but also somewhat titillating! How comfortable would I be seeing other men being naked in a group setting? How would my body react??? How would I feel about touching bodies of other men with whom I had not built a prior relationship? What I experienced was simply life transforming for me. I explored the philosophy that all men should be honored regardless of our age, sexual orientation, body anatomy, relationship status, HIV status or emotional state. This weekend does involve taking some personal and interpersonal risks but “nothing ventured, nothing gained”.
